Getting Started
Everything you need to know to begin your bitesoft journey.
How do I get started with clear aligner treatment?
Getting started is easy. Book an in-clinic assessment where we’ll examine your teeth, take digital scans and determine whether clear aligners are right for you. After your assessment, we’ll recommend the most suitable treatment tier for your smile.
What happens at the initial assessment?
Your in-clinic assessment includes:
- A full smile and bite evaluation
- 3D digital scans (no messy impressions)
- Discussion of your goals and expectations
- A personalised treatment recommendation
The assessment fee is $400, which is fully credited toward your treatment if you proceed.
Is the assessment refundable?
The assessment fee is not refundable, however it is fully credited toward your treatment if you proceed with aligners.
How much does clear aligner treatment cost?
We offer transparent, all-inclusive pricing based on the complexity of your case:
- Express (up to 10 aligners): $2,799
- Mild (up to 20 aligners): $3,599
- Moderate (up to 40 aligners): $4,299
- Complex (up to 60 aligners): $4,999
Your clinician will confirm your treatment tier after your assessment.
What’s included in the treatment cost?
All treatment tiers include:
- 3D Treatment Plan
- All Aligners
- Dental Monitoring Scanbox
- All Clinic Appointments
- 10 Year Guarantee
- Post Treatment Retainers
- 24/7 Customer Care
- BONUS Dental Grade Whitening
Why don’t you offer at-home impression kits?
We’ve moved to a fully in-clinic treatment model to ensure the highest level of accuracy, safety, and results. In-clinic digital scans allow for better treatment planning, closer monitoring, and a more predictable outcome.
Do I need to know my treatment tier before booking?
No. Your treatment tier is determined after your in-clinic assessment, once we’ve evaluated your teeth and treatment needs.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time varies depending on complexity.
Minor cases may take just a few months, while more complex cases may take longer. Your clinician will provide an estimated timeline at your assessment.
Are attachments or tooth shaping included?
Yes. If your treatment requires attachments or minor tooth reshaping (IPR), these are included in your treatment tier at no extra cost.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We offer flexible payment options to help make treatment more manageable. Our team can walk you through the available options.

Why wouldn’t someone be eligible for clear aligners?
There are several reasons why someone might not be eligible for clear aligner treatment. Here are some common factors:
1. Severe Dental Issues
- Severe misalignment or bite issues (e.g., significant overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite) may require more advanced orthodontic treatment, such as traditional braces, instead of clear aligners.
- Gum disease or untreated cavities could prevent clear aligner treatment because proper oral health is essential for the treatment's success.
2. Teeth That Are Not Fully Erupted
- Clear aligners are not ideal for patients who have baby teeth still present or for those whose teeth have not fully erupted, as the treatment requires adult teeth to be in place for proper alignment.
3. Non-Compliance Risk
- Clear aligners require a high level of patient compliance. If a patient is not committed to wearing the aligners for the recommended 20-22 hours per day, the treatment might not be effective. In such cases, other forms of orthodontic treatment might be recommended.
4. Complex or Large Tooth Movements
- Clear aligners are most effective for moderate teeth movements. If the required tooth movement is too complex or involves significant rotation or tilting, traditional braces may be a better option.
5. Existing Dental Appliances
- If a patient has other orthodontic appliances like retainers or dental work (e.g., bridges or crowns) that interfere with the fit of aligners, they may not be a good candidate for clear aligners. In saying that, we can work around bridges and crowns.
6. Age Restrictions
- While clear aligners can be effective for teens and adults, younger children with growing mouths may not be suitable candidates. Treatment may need to wait until the patient is 14 and over.
7. Jaw Problems or Skeletal Issues
- If the patient has significant jaw alignment problems or skeletal issues (such as severe jaw discrepancies or temporomandibular joint disorders), clear aligners may not be sufficient, and alternative treatments such as traditional braces or surgery may be recommended.
8. Lack of Commitment to Regular Check-ins
- Our clear aligner treatment requires regular check-ins (remotely through the dental monitoring app). If the patient is unable or unwilling to follow up regularly, this could affect eligibility or the success of the treatment.
In these cases, the treatment plan would either be adjusted to another form of orthodontic care or postponed until the patient is a better candidate. It's always best for patients to have a professional consultation to determine the most appropriate treatment for their needs.
How old do I have to be to receive treatment?
We treat patients starting at age 14. If you're under 18, parental consent is required. Additionally, we need to ensure that all baby teeth have been lost before beginning treatment.
I have wisdom teeth that need to be removed, can I still be treated?
We recommend that patients have their wisdom teeth removed if they are causing pain. Once the gums have fully healed from the removal, we can proceed with treatment to realign your smile. However, if your wisdom teeth are not causing discomfort, there’s no need for removal, and we can still proceed with your treatment.
I have a permanent retainer, can I still be treated?
We ask that any patients wanting to undergo treatment have their permanent retainer removed. Unfortunately we are unable to align your smile if the retainer is still in place.
Removing a permanent retainer is usually a simple and painless procedure.

How do bitesoft clear aligners move my teeth?
Our bitesoft clear aligners use gentle, calibrated pressure to gradually shift your teeth into their ideal positions. This pressure triggers the body to remodel the bone surrounding the teeth. When force is applied to a tooth, the periodontal ligament (PDL) — a group of connective tissue fibers that anchor the tooth to the bone — compresses. In response, the bone on the pressured side undergoes resorption, while on the opposite side, new bone is formed.
This process involves two types of bone cells:
- Osteoclasts: These break down the bone on the compressed side of the ligament.
- Osteoblasts: These build new bone on the stretched side.
Each Clear Aligner moves your teeth in small, safe increments, monitored by our team throughout your specific treatment timelineb
What are bitesoft clear aligners made from?
All of our clear aligners are crafted from Zendura™ FLX, a BPA-free material. We choose Zendura™ FLX because we believe aligner therapy should be:
- Firm, yet gentle
- Comfortable to wear
- Invisible and remain clear throughout treatment
Zendura™ FLX outperforms many standard plastic materials. While most plastics lack elasticity, making them prone to damage and unable to return to their original shape, Zendura™ FLX features a specially designed elastomeric layer. This unique feature allows the aligners to recover from any movement or damage caused by the opposing dental arch, ensuring they mold perfectly to your mouth.
Zendura™ FLX is truly one-of-a-kind. It’s the only material specifically designed to generate lower initial force upon insertion, while its elastic recovery provides continuous, greater tooth movement force over time—something traditional thermoplastics can’t match.
Do bitesoft clear aligners hurt?
Discomfort at the beginning of your treatment is normal and as you get used to wearing an aligner you’ll notice this subside. Each new set of aligners can cause mild discomfort and this is why we recommend using your chewies to help your mouth adjust faster and to relieve some pressure.
