How important is wearing a retainer after aligners?
For the first 3–6 months post-treatment, consistent wear is critical. After that, long-term nighttime wear helps lock in your results.
At Bitesoft, we understand that your smile is more than just aesthetics—it’s confidence, health, and peace of mind. Our custom-made retainers are designed for comfort, durability, and invisible wear. Whether you’ve just completed your clear aligner journey or you’re years in, we’re here to keep your smile aligned and beautiful.
Don't let your results fade—choose Bitesoft retainers for long-lasting dental alignment and oral health.
How to Wear Your Retainers After Clear Aligner Treatment
Proper retainer wear is essential to maintain your straight smile after clear aligner treatment. Follow this easy timeline to ensure long-lasting results:
Weeks 1–2: Full-Time Wear
Wear your retainers 22 hours per day. Only remove them for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing.
Weeks 3–4: Adjusting to Less Time
Reduce wear to 18 hours per day, continuing to wear them overnight and during the day when possible.
Weeks 5–6: Further Reduction
Cut back to 12–14 hours per day. Nighttime wear becomes your new normal.
After 6 Weeks: Nighttime for Life
After the initial adjustment period, wear your retainers for at least 8 hours every night—ideally while you sleep. This helps prevent your teeth from shifting back to their original positions.
What are Bitesoft retainers made of?
Crafted from durable, medical-grade materials, our retainers are built to last — helping you keep your smile straight and confident for years to come.
How often should I replace them?
For best results, retainers should be replaced every 6–12 months. If you’re ordering after 12 months, you may need a new scan or impression to ensure a perfect fit.
