A lingual bonded retainer is securely bonded to the back (lingual) side of your teeth, offering discreet and effective post-treatment retention. A thin retention wire is carefully affixed to the first six anterior teeth on both the upper and lower arches — the teeth most prone to shifting after treatment.
Our hygienic lingual retainers are designed to simplify flossing, promoting a cleaner, healthier smile. The total cost includes a scan taken after your treatment to ensure an accurate fit. Once we receive the scan, your custom retainers will be created and sent directly to your clinic, carefully packaged to arrive unbent before bonding.

Can I get both bonded retainers and thermoplastic retainers?
The answer is yes. But you will need to have an additional scan AFTER your retainers are bonded. This can be done at your bonding appointment. The extra cost for thermoplastic retainers following the bonded retainers is $230, which covers the scan and your new set of retainers.
Should I have my teeth cleaned prior to bonding?
We strongly recommend that you do. After Clear Aligner treatment, there may be some plaque buildup. Having a cleaning done during your initial scanning appointment will ensure our team can bond the retainers properly.
